Solmi is a Korean composer based in the UK, working across film, television, and contemporary instrumental music. Her journey into film composition began through her work as a musical theatre performer and musical director, where she developed a deep understanding of storytelling through music, character, and performance.

Her work has since received recognition in international composition competitions, while short films she has scored have gone on to receive prestigious awards and festival recognition. These collaborations have led to ongoing work with directors and production teams across a range of screen projects.

Classically trained as a pianist, Solmi studied both classical and contemporary composition at Goldsmiths, University of London. Drawing from these influences, she creates distinctive sonic worlds that combine piano, orchestral textures, and contemporary sound to tell stories through music.

Alongside her work in film and television, Solmi has released a growing body of neoclassical and instrumental music as a recording artist. More recently, she has formed a collective with composer Coline Machecourt, creating music for sync and film and television productions.
